Reflections + The Future

These last few months have certainly been nothing that anyone could ever prepare for. As a mother and friend, daughter and wife and a business owner, I could not imagine what it would be like to just stop doing everything when you had worked so hard to make it so good. At Sierra Moon, we had just celebrated two years of owning this special shop and were counting our blessings daily. A great staff, wonderful location in the heart of Auburn and the best customers one could ever ask for! The greatest thing though?  None of that has changed.  Yes, we will be doing business differently from here on out, but I am most excited that it will give us the ability to broaden our reach by offering Virtual Design Appointments.

Here’s a little insight to how our custom design process now works:

• Give us a ring or email us at design@sierramoongoldsmiths.com to briefly go over your ideas for the project. At that time, we will set up a Virtual Design Appointment using Zoom. Zoom is a very easy to use video meeting software. We will send you an email invitation to start the meeting at your appointment time.  Easy at 1-2-3!
• In the Virtual Design Appointment, you will "meet" with one of our designers to go over specifics for the project. To learn more about the Custom Design Process, check out our blog about custom jewelry design.
• Before the Zoom meeting ends, your designer will let you know what the next step is. It will likely include setting up an in-store time to drop off your stones, get accurate finger, wrist or necklace sizes and maybe even drop off any old gold to be used for credit against the project. At this appointment we will practice all the necessary steps to ensure safe social distancing, one of which will require all parties to wear a face mask. Our intentions will be to keep this appointment as brief as we can in order to keep us all safe and healthy.
